Header 1

This is ignored in the table of contents. This is because the post’s title should be the only <h1> in the post.

Header 2

This is a blockquote following a header.

When something is important enough, you do it even if the odds are not in your favor.

Header 3

This is an inline code: layout: default.

These are block code:

Math can be written inline, where $$y = ax + b$$ produces \(y = ax + b\). Similarly, it can be written in centered form, where:

$$
\begin{aligned}
    10 &= \frac{5}{4}x \\ \\
    x &= 8
\end{aligned}
$$

Produces the following output:

\[\begin{aligned} 10 &= \frac{5}{4}x \\ \\ x &= 8 \end{aligned}\]

Long, single-line code blocks should not wrap. They should horizontally scroll if they are too long. This line should be long enough to demonstrate this.
